Wonderful World of Stuffed Animals
Sally is my next door neighbour. She is six years old. Sally has thick shiny black hair and chinky eyes that make her look very exotic even as a child. What makes Sally really interesting is that she carries around a different type of stuffed animal each day.
A few days back, I saw her carrying a Garfield the Cat stuffed animal. She was pretending to feed it with some chocolate chip cookies. Yesterday, she introduced me to her huge stuffed purple alligator named “Erwin”. Now, Sally is sitting on their porch playing with her stuffed farm animals consisting of a yellow cow, red chicken and a green pig. I approached her and played with her for a few minutes.
When Sally’s mother called her for some snacks and invited me in, she took me up to her room to introduce me to her other friends. When she opened the door, I was in awe. Every inch of her tiny bed was covered with assorted stuffed animals. Some of them have even started inhabiting in her floor too. I saw Barney, Kermit the Frog and Cookie Monster. There were stuffed dinosaurs, horses, fishes and birds too.
I left Sally still playing. I was thankful she let me peek into her wonderful world of stuffed animals.
